Born and raised in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, Christina contributes her
entrepreneurial spirit to spending countless hours working alongside her parents at their small business. A career selling residential real estate was the perfect way to pair her customer service skills and marketing knowledge with a love for helping people (and their homes.) Christina started in real estate in 2008, working for a property management company, and became a licensed agent in 2013.
My interest in other peoples homes started at an early age. My parents owned a carpet cleaning business and I was the best hose manager (the made up title my parents gave me) you will ever know! Summers off of school meant rides in the work van and full time work hours. I spent an odd amount of time studying the layout and designs of other peoples homes as a kid. I can remember cataloging in my brain the way different customers used color and furniture in their homes. That is where my passion for design started, too. Free child labor might sound bad, but I feel like the luckiest kid in the world, earning those years of experience before I was even old enough to drive.
While in high school I had a friend who's family owned a number of rental homes, as well as managed an enormous portfolio of other peoples rentals. The property management company is where I got my first taste of helping people move. I was always fascinated by the "job" of being the person who helps a person find their next home. I spent evenings stuffing mailers and filing, while the weekends and full days were spent cleaning rental homes between leases.
I worked in retail sales during college and grew my customer service skill set through countless hours on the job, in addition to a lot of corporate training. I was repeatedly recognized as a top performer in customer survey results and sales. This grew my confidence in ways I couldn't imagine. I was in college for design and advertising part time, while full time learning some of life's most important skills; how to effectively communicate with all kinds of people.
All those years in a retail setting laid the foundation for my business as your real estate agent. I wanted to combine my success in sales and background in advertising with a more impactful mission. As the end of college neared, I thought, "Maybe I could sell houses.."
Lucky for me, my mom knows a lot of people in St. Cloud. She made a few calls and connected me with my first real estate mentor. I was so fortunate to be taken under the wing of an agent with years of experience in selling homes, commercial real estate and rentals. In my first three years of real estate I witnessed numerous transactions, helped 3 developments come to life, and learned a ton about the structure and systems of houses. My first boss had such a diverse portfolio of business that in my first three years, I gained more experience then some agents do in their entire career.
I went on to work at another brokerage that utilized my admin and design skills more. In this unique position I was selling houses and managing my own clientele list, but I was also managing listings for a team that was selling 100+ homes a year and helping grow a brand new brokerage. Here I learned a lot about managing customers, staging homes for success and marketing. My unique position of helping agents grow their business and managing my own clients really taught me more than anything because of the on- the- job training was priceless. The more people I helped, the more houses I saw and transactions I was apart of.
2023 is year 10 in real estate and I am focused more on my business then ever before! I have joined the amazing team at Central MN Realty and am focused on mentoring a small group of agents while building my client base. I really enjoy helping other agents succeed and I think that by helping others, it helps my customers.
Helping someone buy or sell a home is a big deal. It deserves to be treated as such. I have explained my job as being a "Shepherd of peoples chapters in life." I will be there for the happy moves, the sad moves, the exciting ones, and even your last move. I treat every client story and goal as if you were my own family. I want to be your REALTOR for life. I promise to earn that title.
